Administrative / Financial Analyst – Kinder, LA

This is a Full-time position in Kinder, LA posted January 15, 2022.

Position Description:

Kinder Morgan is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America.

We own an interest in or operate approximately 84,000 miles of pipelines and 157 terminals.

Our pipelines transport natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2) and more.

Our terminals store and handle petroleum products, chemicals and other products.

Position Summary:

This position performs various administrative and financial functions in support of the department and assists the supervisor in a prompt and efficient manner, all while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Area Administrator for the Kinder Area Natural Gas Pipeline Business Unit reporting directly to the Area Operations Manager.

Coordinate monthly accrual, forecasting, variance reporting on a rolled up area basis for all O&M cost centers and Capital projects.

Facilitate the preparation of the operating and capital budgets to ensure the necessary materials, supplies, equipment, and personnel for operations support.

Regularly analyze and review to determine requirements for improving efficiency while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Work with Area Supervision to optimize operational efficiencies, utilization of resources, and team based management principles
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for vendor setup and assisting with resolving vendor issues.

Monitor and refine processes and procedures to more effectively utilize the skills and abilities of administrative support personnel.

Coordinate/participate in the design and implementation of new administrative support mediums including documentation, databases, and facility utilization
Ensure that good relations are maintained with internal/external customers
Occasional, but infrequent overtime is anticipated and may be required.

Prepare invoices with correct coding, review and enter into PAWs accounting system
Formulates cost estimates, creates CIBER's and submits AFE as requested
Generate contracts, prepare general service agreements, work directives and request for services or materials
Data entry for training records into the OQ ISNetworld program and tracking of company fleet vehicles
Actively participate in the area safety programs and initiatives
Maintain filing system for general office, TRRC reports and PHMSA documentation
Generate requisitions and complete the receiving within Lawson Procurement System
Reconcile and enter individual expense report coding into the PAWs system
Inventory management including issuing, transferring, and auditing stock
Creates and maintains databases, spreadsheets using Pivot tables and VLOOKUP files to improve budget tracking and forecasting
Conducts research, compiles data and creates statistical reports
Creates a positive and professional office environment
Performs general office duties, such as ordering supplies, answering phone calls, etc.

Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:

Associate degree in a business, accounting, technical field, or equivalent experience
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Rarely, as needed.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – including ability to build data analysis spreadsheets)
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Advanced math skills (addition, subtraction, decimals, etc.)
Accounting experience
Strong analytical skills
Ability to organize and prioritize daily work and maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with various levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors to resolve issues, while adhering to deadlines
Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to other employees of the company and outside contractors
Must be customer (internal and external) oriented
Must apply common sense to carry out day-to-day duties
