Office Administrator/Receptionist

This is a Full-time position in Geismar, LA posted November 23, 2021.

Currently seeking an experienced Office Administrator/Receptionist to work locally within Geismar, La.

Schedule: Monday through Friday full time.

The rate of pay is depending on experience between $15-$18 per hour or potentially higher for the right candidate.

Summary:

This position requires the individual to answer a multi-line switchboard in a timely and professional manner, assist the Inside Sales department with clerical duties, and perform various administrative tasks for multiple departments within the company.

Requirements & Responsiblities:
Open and close the switchboard on all normal workdays
Answer daily phone calls
Maintain general knowledge of company services and product line
Greet visitors upon arrival
Have all visitors sign log book and adhere to site entry process
Filter and log emails to correct salespersons
Provide clerical services as assigned for Inside Sales
Assist Controller with routine accounting tasks, including activities associated with corporate accounting group
Assist with arrangements for freight associated with equipment and materials to be shipped
Initiate new vendor and customer set-up per corporate work process
Act as division representative on the corporate wellness program team
Assist Shipping & Receiving with document scanning activities
Maintain supplies and consumables associated with the kitchen area
Check mailboxes and distribute mail as appropriate
Review all shipping documents and organize by the method of shipment, ensuring PO numbers are included on all documentation
Manage uniform rental contract for the office
Act as backup timekeeper when primary resource associated with this activity is out of office
Order/pick-up meals for meetings as deemed necessary
Manage office supplies, including routine ordering and restocking as appropriate
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a sedentary position for an extended period of time
