Architectural Designer

Position Description: Gould Evans is seeking an entry level architectural designer to work as part of our collaborative design studios.

This is a great opportunity for an individual who is seeking to gain intellectual insight to the design process as well as work in varied stages of design.

Ideal candidate would have 1-3 years of experience, with a degree in architecture or equivalent.

Currently, we have more than 130 associates across our New Orleans, Lawrence, San Francisco, Kansas City, and Phoenix studios.

We are looking for candidates that are energetic, talented, and open to adventure to support our New Orleans studio immediately.

Responsibilities include a wide range of roles including, but not limited to assistance with; programming, design, illustration, construction documents, presentation drawings, construction administration, and administrative support.

Primary responsibilities of the position:
Participating in planning, designing, illustrating, presenting, and providing technical documents for projects.
Collaboration and assistance with all aspects of the design and documentation process.
Supporting marketing efforts and assume other duties as dictated by workload.

We’re seeking candidates with:
Professional degree in architecture.
Strong graphic, conceptual, and design skills.

Ability to create new ideas both independently and in collaboration.
Experience in early design phases such as concept design and schematic design.
Ability to communicate ideas in a variety of graphic media including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Strong modeling and rendering skills
– knowledge of SketchUp, 3DS Max, Rhino, VRAY, Enscape, or other rendering platforms.
Ideal candidate will be committed to pursuing licensure in architecture.
Proficiency with Revit, preferred.
