General Responsibilities: The following is intended to describe the major elements and requirements of the position and should not be taken as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of individuals assigned to this job.

  • Ability to create effective relationships with individuals of different cultural beliefs and lifestyles
  • Possess an understanding of child and adolescent development
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community, strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex information and to define and solve problems
  • Complies with governmental regulations and Merakey/NCFS policies and procedures regarding clinical documentation.
  • Completes required paperwork in a legible and timely fashion. This includes, but is not limited to assessments, intake forms, service documentation, plans of care plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Assumes a quality level of personal and professional accountability for performance.
  • Assists in departmental program planning and implementation of services for all consumers and families.
  • Assists facilitators in understanding behavioral health service recommendations and incorporating those recommendations into each youth’s Plan of Care and transition from services.
  • Attends ongoing training programs for continued skill development and maintain all needed credentialing required.
  • Appropriately seeks supervision to assist with problem solving and decision making.
  • Ensures that all documentation required by the SMO is completed and submitted within the time frames prescribed.
  • Manages a work schedule that respects and meets the needs of youth and families in the CSoC.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client (i.e. HIPPA, FERPA, P.L. 46:56) staff and agency information.
