This position will work under the general supervision of the LSUHSC Proteomics Core Director and should have expertise/knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, and macromolecular analysis techniques for proteomics.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing the operations of the proteomics laboratory, mass spectrometry analyses, method development, facility and instrument operations and maintenance, and all associated transactions and reporting.

Additional Position Information: Incumbent will also collaborate with faculty and other proteomics users; provide consultation regarding design, implementation and analysis stages; and maintain and/or develop/implement accurate documentation of methods, results and data for research projects.

Required Education: Bachelor’s in Analytical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, biomedical sciences or related field Minimum 5 years relevant professional level experience; must have some experience with Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Master’s degree in analytical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, biomedical sciences or related field can substitute for 3 years of relevant professional level experience (some experience in Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry still required) LSU Health New Orleans is committed to leveraging diversity as an educational resource and an institutional core value.
