What do you like about being a Speech Language Pathologist?

Patients often ask me if I enjoy my work as a speech language pathologist, and without hesitation, I answer yes.

There are so many aspects that speech language pathologists can help patients in their daily life.

It can be communicating their wants and needs to their medical professionals, with their family members, or out in the community as well as in the areas of cognition and helping these patients become as independent as possible in taking care of themselves, managing their medications, being independent with their finances, and utilizing technology to communicate with their family.

So there are many areas where we can help.

And that is so rewarding to be able to assist these patients in these areas.
