Job Description Housekeeping Lead SUPERVISOR: Housekeeping Manager EXEMPT (Y/N): No CLASSIFICATION: Non-Key Employee SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting the Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Shift Supervisor in giving direction, motivation and guidance to the Housekeeping Department to accomplish established standards to meet or exceed guest satisfaction. This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned): Responsible for assisting the overall duties of the shift supervisors. Assist in Implementing established department procedures and programs that meet goals and ensures a clean and safe environment. Conducts quality improvement inspections within all assigned areas of responsibility to ensure quality and satisfaction levels are meeting and/or exceeding expectations. Assist in coaching/counseling Housekeeping staff when necessary. Ensures work assignments, daily and weekly work schedules meet department and facility needs. Tours the casino to ensure that guest needs and expectations are met at all times. Reports all pertinent data to the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor in a timely manner. Meets all established policies and procedures. Maintains a safe work environment. Ability to accurately review and process data. Ability to establish priorities, work independently and accomplish objectives without supervision. Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats. Ability to handle and resolve problems. Works in a team environment interacting with a variety of departments. Possesses excellent guest service skills. Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships; treats others courteously and with respect. Responds to emergencies on a 24/7 operation. Handles varying workloads and meets changing deadlines as necessary. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Minimum one (1) year of supervising housekeeping staff or related experience. Current housekeeping employee or Casino employee that has completed an in-house approved supervisor training, or has been in an approved lead role or dual rate position for a minimum of 6 months can substitute the one year minimum supervisory experience with the understanding they are in good standing on points and counseling forms Must be physically strong and have previous knowledge of floor machines and cleaning equipment. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal and written format. Must be able to demonstrate ability to read and comprehend written instructions Ability to understand and comply with all departmental and company rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Must possess excellent communication and phone skills. Ability to perform basic math. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and management. Ability to work flexible schedule. Must have leadership qualities, team-building abilities and excellent customer relations. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. No felony theft convictions. Must successfully pass drug screen and tribal gaming commission licensing. Must have reliable transportation.
