Shipping Receiving Clerk

Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Shipping and Receiving Clerk Well Established Industrial Measurement & Weighing Equipment Company Seeking Shipping and Receiving Clerk for immediate start. Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities: Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Greets and processes all customers and their equipment drop offs &pick ups in a customer friendly manner. Logs in all equipment for service or calibration, and creates initial travel tags for equipment in our service management system. Delivers equipment to proper location for service. Collaborates and communicates with customers, service technicians, sales & service admins, vendors and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments. Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and works to solve them Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers Organizes and maintains a clean, neat, and customer-ready facility. Primary responsibility for facility maintenance. Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables. Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. Engages with customers, vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage area by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods Shipping and Receiving Qualifications/Skills: Strong customer service and interaction skills Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock Receiving, stocking, and stacking Pulling, packing, and loading Good written and verbal communication skills Strong sense of time organization and urgency Able to work independently and within a team Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent 6 months logistics, or customer service experience Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date Company Description Quick Facts: With 29 service areas in 11 states throughout the USA, we are a family of companies dedicated to the Weighing & Measurement Industry.
