As a Behavior Technician, you will help kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a range of conditions that can affect a child’s ability to communicate, socialize, and play.

Our dynamic Behavior Technicians undergo a free training to prepare them to work one-on-one with children with Autism or other developmental disabilities.

*POSITION OVERVIEW: *

Behavior Technician Trainees implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs with CARD patients and families under the direction of a Clinical Supervisor.

Treatment plans are designed to address skill acquisition as well as challenging behavior reduction, and may occur in a variety of settings including the CARD center, patient’s home, school, community, or via telehealth.

This is an hourly, non-exempt, part-time position.

* High school diploma or GED
* Reliable transportation to and from work
* Availability at least 15 hours per week

*RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: *

The CARD Behavior Technician *will be trained* to work with children and teens with exceptional needs and their families/caregivers.

Our Behavior Technicians will gain valuable career skills, such as:
* An understand autism and how to treat the deficits and behaviors associated with the diagnosis
* Learn Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and procedures
* Implement treatment plans across multiple domains, including language, social, cognitive, executive functions, adaptive, and independent living skills, as well as pre-employment and vocational skills
* How to implement ABA programs in the natural environment: home, school, place of employment, and community
* Work with applications, games, and web-based technology via an iPad
