Patient Navigator

GO CARE Community Health Center

This is a Full-time position in West Monroe, LA posted November 23, 2021.

GO CARE Community Health Center (GCCHC) is in need of a positive, energetic, computer-savvy, and conscientious person for our new Patient Navigator position.

You will be the “first face” of GCCHC, so an outgoing personality, an understanding of the importance of confidentiality, and being a solid advocate for people who are medically underserved, people who are LGBTQ+, and people who are living with HIV is a must.

Position Overview:

The Patient Navigator duties include, but are not limited to: greeting guests and patients; checking and recording guests’ and patients’ temperatures, reviewing the organizational COVID-19 screening questionnaire with guests and patients, and providing education and educational materials regarding COVID-19 to guests and patients of GCCHC; answering and routing telephone calls as needed; providing administrative support to the Site Manager and other organizational managers; and upkeep of the lobby and reception area.

This is a full-time position with benefits.

We will pay 75% of the employee’s health, dental, and vision insurance premiums, we have a retirement plan that will match dollar-for-dollar up to 4% of your annual income, we have 10 paid holidays per year, and we have a generous Paid Time Off policy.

Candidate Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Prior experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Strong computer competency, including MS Office and document scanning.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations.
Responsible for providing front desk reception and maintaining an efficient flow of patients, visitors, and phone calls into the various components of GCCHC.
This position requires that you be incredibly detail-oriented and that you have the ability to work with a variety of personality types.
