– Raw Materials Coordinator/DRP – – Baton Rouge, LAResponsibilities:
• Assures and maintains that all raw materials for the production at Baton Rouge Plant ($240 Million/Year Spend).
• Tracks Supplier (On-Time-To-Delivery) metrics and Raw Material Days of Supply.
• Serves as backup to Raw Materials Coordinator for Geismar Plant.
• Maintains close contact with Supply Chain Coordinator/Traffic/Tank Farm personnel to insure availability of Raw Materials when needed.
• Prepares, maintains, and supplies records to Accounting Department as needed.
• Places orders for interplant transfers of finished product.
• Supports Production Scheduling Process.
• Key contact with suppliers for the Baton Rouge site.Key Success Factors:
• Continuous improvement of Raw Material ordering process and reduction of inventory.
• Adaptability to new process for shipments for Fluorines.
• Use Six Sigma tools to enhance raw material ordering and reduce costs.
• Elimination of wastes in procedures for ordering raw materials and order fulfillment processesMUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degreeWE VALUE
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, supply chain preferred or three years of experience in supply chain ordering hazardous materials.
• Skills in Microsoft Office products and SAP a plus.
• Knowledge of DOT, HAZMAT and ICC regulations.
• Six Sigma or Lean experience preferred
• Inventory control experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal customers and external customers.
• Willing to function as a team member on Six Sigma Teams.
• Use resources effectively and efficiently; arrange information and file in a useful manner.
• Able to produce defined and measurable metrics to enhance raw material and scheduling processes.Key Responsibilities+ Based in Baton Rouge Louisiana+ Detailed Capacity Planning+ Schedule production, including mix, for a rolling 2 to 13 week horizon+ Implements Replenishment Strategy and Time Fence Management policies.+ Makes sure that all MRP elements in the list are relevant and accurate+ Convert planned orders to process orders (and purchase requisitions to Purchase Orders/Stock Transport Orders as appropriate)+ Reviews Supply Network Planning and MRP messages daily and takes action as required+ Coordinate with manufacturing on planned maintenance schedules for key resources+ Plan External/Internal Material requirements.+ Measure, report, and drive master production schedule attainment performance+ Owner of the planning views for material master data for his/her parts+ Sets Safety Stock, Replenishment Lead Time, Lot Size, Stocking Location in accordance with Global Supply strategies+ Balance supply with demand at the SKU level while adhering to established production plan, policies, resource constraints and requirements need date+ Notifies Supply Chain Manager/Global Supply Planner of any projected issues+ Demand not coming in as forecasted
– excess inventory warning+ Demand coming in stronger than forecasted
– inventory shortage warning+ Independent or dependent demand requests to the factory outside SIOP process+ Liaison between Operations, Logistics, and Commercial teams to balance supply and demand+ Coordinate allocation of products in the event of material shortagesYOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree in Business, supply chain management, engineering or related field preferred.At least 3 years of experience in Planning/scheduling…with experience in Industrial materials a plus.Experience in a constrained supply or allocation environment is a plus.Experience in Chemical Operations/Manufacturing preferred.Inventory control experience.WE VALUEPassion for Continuous improvement of planning and scheduling to drive reduction of inventory.Effective communicator and team player with Operations, Logistics, and Commercial teamsUse Six Sigma and process improvement tools to enhance planning and scheduling to improve delivery performance and reduce costs.Elimination of wastes in procedures for planning materials and order fulfillment processes.Team builder with ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, internal customers and external customers.Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
