Customer Account & Sales Specialist

Position Description – Direct Hire Position

Position Purpose/Summary
The Customer Account & Sales Specialist is committed to providing the highest quality service to the communities
we serve and is dedicated to fulfilling our customers’ needs by offering the latest in technological advances allowing
them to keep pace with the growing demands of a global economy.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
1. Engaging customers, in person and by phone, to gather information to identify billing inquiries and
answering all customer questions accurately and efficiently following proper procedure and paying close
attention to detail
2. Promoting products and services offered by the Company to new and existing customers.
3. Processing payments, maintaining payment arrangements, balancing cash drawers, and other departmental
4. Creating Service Orders & monitoring the work flow staging of the Service Order process.
5. Providing feedback to the Company on customers’ wants, expectations, concerns and how the Company
can enhance products and services to better suit their needs.
6. Understanding and strictly adhering to the Company’s Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI)
policy while appropriately maintaining the confidentiality of customer records
7. Understanding how all departments contribute to the success of the organization and referring customers
and employees to the appropriate department to best fulfill their needs
8. Building and maintaining a good rapport and cooperative relationship with customers and co-workers while
taking ownership of responsibilities and being accountable for his/her own actions
9. Being an advocate for Company programs and special events while taking initiative to participate and
volunteering readily when opportunities arise
10. Performing all other duties and responsibilities assigned

1. Advanced knowledge of company policies, procedures, products, services, pricing, promotions, goals, and
2. Ability to treat internal and external customers with courtesy, respect, and professionalism
3. Ability to listen to the customer, identify billing inquiries, and accurately answer customer questions
4. Ability to initiate conversation and speak in a clear and concise manner while expressing interest and concern
5. Knowledge of and the ability to comply with CPNI regulations and procedures
6. Ability to embrace change in the workplace while encouraging others to seek innovative approaches and the
ability to function effectively as a team player
7. Proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.
1. The Customer Account & Sales Specialist must have a high school diploma (or equivalent).
2. Previous work experience in customer service or billing and previous cash handling experience is required.
