If so, this might be just the right opportunity for you.This job is an individual contributor primarily responsibility for maintaining and supporting telecommunications network system(s). This role will work independently while requiring general direction and supervision from experienced IT Staff.In this job, you will:Work closely with and relies on the experience of the Supervisor and more experienced engineers.Consult with software and hardware vendors and other establishment workers to solve problems impeding communications.Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future network requirements to meet the organization’s needs.Evaluate proposed telecommunications projects to assess adequacy of existing hardware and recommend purchase of equipment.Assist technicians with questions concerning access to the voice network.Communicate with other departments and end users to report and resolve voice network operations problems.Monitor network performance.Assist in the development and maintenance of voice network communications.Assist with planning and installing of internal and external networks.Test and evaluate voice network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.Troubleshoot network access problems.Ensure voice network security access and protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.Other duties as assigned.Here’s what you’ll need to be considered:EducationRequired – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training.ExperienceRequired – None.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesTechnical knowledge of Cisco IOS, Cisco Firewalls and Microsoft server software.Understanding and knowledge or organizational goals and strategy.Highly proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.Effective listening skills with ability to interpret and share information clearly and concisely.Skills to gain buy in and effort from team members to commit to achieving organizational goals.Ability to gain confidence and trust of others while establishing credibility.Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and manage multiple demands while staying within established timelines.Ability to interpret business requirements and disseminate into an accurate list of tasks and estimates.Ability to develop maintainable solutions that are responsive and meet functional and non-functional business requirements.Ability to work positively both independently and within a team environment; sharing expertise with others.Ability to remain positive and display optimism and inspiration.Ability to take ownership of personal development and communicate with manager about development objectives and goals.Ability to accept coaching and constructive feedback, while consistently providing effort towards improving performance.Drive for results and a proven track record of delivering results.Ability to participate in on-call rotation.Ability to work outside of normal working hours to provide support based on assignments and projects.Here’s additional information you need to know:Physical Demands & RequirementsSedentary work.
