Accounts Payable Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVEThe AP Supervisor is responsible for managing the accounts payable functions for The Pro Companies. Key duties of this role include review and analysis of accounts payable, bills, AP Aging, and supervise AP Clerks/Specialists.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Analyze invoices and expenses for accuracy and payment* Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices* Monitors or performs accounts payable functions: reviewing for appropriateness of expenditures and consistency of coding on requests for payment, maintaining files for proper documentation of all expenditures, processing and maintaining files on all expenditures, ensuring timely release of 1099’s to contractors.* Monitors or performs purchasing functions: ensure purchases are made in accordance with agency policies and procedure, verify issuance of appropriate purchase orders for purchases, verify coding appropriateness and budgetary authority for purchases.* Maintains and reviews AP Aging report for accuracyCOMPETENCIES – KSA’s* High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills* High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientationREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* Minimum: 3-5 + years’ experience in a supervisory role of Accounts Payable* Minimum: Associates Degree* Excel Intermediate experience* Supervisor Experience* Able to work well in a team environment* Capable of taking on assigned related tasks* Ad hoc reporting* Excellent attitude* Effective communicatorWORK ENVIRONMENT: This position typically operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and printers.* DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to sit in office setting for majority of workday. The employee occasionally may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
