We are seeking an experienced manager to operate a mid-sized hotel in Westwego. Please read on for a formal job description:

Job Title: General Manager

Reports To: Managing Member and Director of Operations

Department Mission Statement

We are committed to providing the highest of standards in product, presentation, and hospitality to our guests. Your mission is to build a cohesive team dedicated to the needs of our customers. We will anticipate and respond to our guests with professionalism, discretion and good-will.

Your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of all phases of

work for associates and supervisors/managers engaged in the operation of the hotel

· Develops and/or reviews forecasts and schedules according to productivity models to meet quality standards and profitability.

· Interviews, hires, trains and develops management and line staff to meet quality and productivity standards.

· Financially responsible for forecasting, budgeting, P&L analysis,

checkbook accounting, internal and inventory controls; maintains labor and controllable expenses to budget.

· Generates maximum financial performance of all departments.

· Provides and trains others to provide guest service that meets or exceeds company standards.

· Conducts training and guides development of front line staff, managers, supervisors and line level employees.

· Ensures the highest level of quality in service within all areas of responsibility while adhering to budgeted guidelines.

· Maintains computerized reservation and guest information tracking.

· Possesses the ability to manipulate room inventory in high occupancy periods with consideration for the business needs and demand.

· Ensures all necessary administrative responsibilities are completed and submitted to the proper individuals in a timely fashion: including payroll, schedules, employee reviews, purchasing, etc.

· Participates on Executive Committee to provide organizational & leadership skills to further hotel growth.

· Protect both guest and Hotel data

· Maintain and Improve the building within budget guidelines

· Protect the interest of ownership

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

  • Westwego, LA 70094: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Hotel management: 3 years (Required)
  • Hospitality: 1 year (Preferred)
