LABORATORY MANAGER – Sibley, Louisiana

AEROPRES is an innovative national manufacturer of environmentally safe aerosol propellants.

We operate gas plants in California, New Jersey, Illinois, and Louisiana. We are currently seeking a Laboratory Manager for our Sibley, Louisiana location. The lab manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art chemistry lab. This role ensures that all regulatory requirements are adhered to, proper certifications are maintained, and ensures the highest quality standards of our natural gas liquid products.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses on incoming and outgoing products for quality control. Ensure proper documentation is obtained and Certificates of Analysis are provided as required. Create, review and update Standard Laboratory Procedures. Ensure laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies are maintained. Have a safety-first mentality. Coordinate testing and scheduling with Plant personnel, and other Team Members to ensure timely response time, and production schedules are met. Develop and confirm analytical methods for research. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry or appropriate field required; Advanced Degree Preferred. 5+ years experience working in a lab environment with specialty gases preferred. Intimate knowledge of Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry analysis specifically related to gas and gas mixtures. Knowledge of wet-chemical analysis and techniques. Experience establishing and developing laboratories to meet all industry-specific requirements (AHRI and CARB). Comprehensive instrumentation calibration, operation, and implementation knowledge and experience. Experience implementing systems, standards, lab certification, and operating procedures. Excellent communication skills.
