Manager-Admissions

* Act as an intermediary on difficult cases, keep leadership team informed of the status of problematic situations.* Manage the intake, admissions and utilization review process for incoming patients* Plan and implement goals, objectives, personnel, resources and equipment.* Implement the approved plan objectives, timetables, expected outcome and measures for assigned areas of responsibility.* Organize, plan and direct work assignments for Admissions staff.* Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.* Develop and assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the hospital, to ensure efficient operations.* Ensure that the unit maintains compliance with standards, laws and certification standards, including those established by JCAHO, Medicare and other regulatory agencies.* Supervise the maintenance of patient records to ensure required quality documentation and compliance with policies and procedures.* Make recommendations for, develop, and carry out improvements to meet changing mission parameters and requirements.* Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.OTHER FUNCTIONS:* Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:* Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field required.* Four or more years’ experience working in behavioral health.* Two or more years’ management experience required.LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:* LMSW, LCSW, or LPC is required.* CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).* First aid may be required based on state or facility.
