Plant Manager - Louisiana Jobs

A leading manufacturer in the Sheldon, IA area is searching for an experienced Plant Manager.

This position is Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm with additional hours as needed.

Starting pay is $80/yr + DOE.

Insure that the work environments and practices provide safe working conditions
Direct and coordinate manufacturing and yard operations within company policies and procedures
Identify and implement process and product improvements
Assure a preventative maintenance plan is established and implemented for all manufacturing equipment
Insure that staff maintain clean, safe facilities while maintaining compliance with safe work practices, training, and OSHA standards
Work with the Director of Operations to establish plant production goals
Maintain a well-trained and motivated production staff
Responsible for managing costs of production to acceptable levels
Insure best practices in the hiring, promotion, and training of plant supervisory and production employees
Conduct employee performance reviews
Responsible for the product quality control for the plant
Tracking and reporting of key performance indicators to senior management
Attend various trainings and meetings as required

What you’ll get as a Plant Manager:

To become a Plant Manager you’ll need:

Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing or related field – Preferred
5 years successful management experience in a manufacturing environment – Preferred
Ability to provide a safe work environment consistent with OSHA standards
Excellent interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
