Responsibilities: We are seeking a Senior Consultant with management consulting, internal audit, or related experience to join our Energy and Utilities Consulting team in our Austin, TX office location.You will enjoy this role if: You enjoy working with professionals aligned in a dynamic environment, to assist clients withsolutions to help them meet their operational, organizational, and strategic needsYou crave a leadership opportunity with a well-established public sector and energy practice that continues to achieve tremendous growthYou want to be part of firm is invested in your success by providing the resources and support to continually sharpen your technical skills and build your career now, for tomorrowResponsibilities:Work on a diverse array of management and risk consulting projects, including but not limited to risk advisory and internal audit, business process reviews, and operational and organizational assessments.Develop an understanding of client policies and practices through interviews and review of policies in order to document the current state in various formats including process flows and process narrativesEvaluate efficiency and effectiveness of operations and make recommendations to improve staffing, processes, internal controls, and/or use of technologyResearch and understand industry best practice and complex requirements including laws and regulations and industry standards/frameworksAssist clients to evaluate financial and operational risks and provide recommendations to enhance internal controls and the internal control environmentEffectively support the presentation of conclusions and recommendations using visuals and written contentResearch issues and prepare whitepapers on current industry trends and issuesDevelop articles, sales proposals and presentations for new business development and client purposesUtilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and with your clientsSupport the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goalsEnjoy friendships, social activities and team outings that encourage a work-life balance Qualifications: Qualifications:Bachelors degree required, MPA or MBA highly desired.3-5 years of consulting or similar experience preferred.A strong work ethic and willingness to take on a variety of roles and levels of responsibility in a dynamic and entrepreneurial setting.In addition to, or in lieu of consulting experience, prior relevant experience in an energy/utility or public sector organization.Specific experience with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Experience with other data manipulation software, such as Tableau, a plus.

Strong writing skills, specifically in regards to business report writing.Understanding of the energy industry.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding strategies and regulations, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties.Ability to travel up to 25% for client engagementsEligibility to work in the U.S., without sponsorship, highly preferred
